Dr.  Singer is a professor of biology at Radford University. He is a behavioral and community ecologist. He received his PhD in Ecology from the University of Minnesota and has conducted basic research on spiders, dragonflies, and zebrafish. He has done considerable research in the field of biology education, including co-authoring a book that uses historical case studies to explore the evolution of scientific knowledge. He is currently writing an ecology textbook that ties together concepts and processes in ecology.
